November, 2011 - A new release of EnviProt’s Network Uptime Analyzer makes energy costs, CO2 and the power consumption of all networked devices transparent. In this way, energy wasters can be easily identified and detailed reports used to setup an energy saving solution.
EnviProt, a market-leading Green IT software provider and manufacturer of the worldwide spread PC Power Managem
ent solution "Auto Shutdown Manager" offers a new Network Uptime Analyzer release.
Network Uptime Analyzer allows users to easily track network-wide energy consumption, the related CO2 exhaust as well as the up-times and energy costs for all networked devices.
Network Uptime Analyzer was designed to be very easy to use – unpack & start – neither installation nor the deployment of client agents is required.
The up-time determination of the network devices is done via the Internet Control Message Protocol - ICMP using PING. In addition, WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation), if present, can help to automatically identify the different types of PCs and so configure the correct consumption data per device.
Problems such as unneeded or unwanted PC up-times overnight or at weekends can be easily determined from the detailed reports the tool generates after a while.
Once such issues are identified, EnviProt’s Auto Shutdown Manager can then help to solve them easily and centrally.
